All cushions have a zip-back cover for easy removal and care and come with a 100% polyester inner to keep your pillow plump and delicious. 

Choose from either our super-soft faux suede with a stone colour back, or our lovely beach-house linen fabric, with a white reverse (see images).

About the Art

We have collaborated with the fabulous Hattie Gordon, a local Brighton based artist.

"I trained in Art History, but in recent years have discovered I like to be the one doing the painting. I love to create tigers, birds and flowers, and if a picture is joyful or funny, all the better. My appetite for strong colours is long standing. When I was 18 my big brother took me to India with him, and I’ll never forget bombing through the Rajasthani dessert on the roof of a bus and seeing groups of women in the most beautiful brightly coloured saris and how those colours sung out from the vast landscape. It’s that vibrant colour I go back to. Whether creating chatting birds, cheeky tigers, decorative palaces, or vases of cheerful flowers, I find myself smiling when I’m painting. If my art makes others smile, I’m winning."

Christmas orders should be made before 13th December but please also consider any Royal Mail strikes when ordering your item. We are currently only shipping to the UK. We are working on shipping to Europe & the rest of the world at a later date.

RETURNS

At Mode Abode we can offer our customers a return policy for goods that are faulty. 

All of our products made to order, meaning that we do not hold any stock. Once a customer places an order with us our British manufacturers, print and then make each cushion individually (this means that our process of manufacturing is very sustainable, with little or no waste). We do not hold stock and/or have a warehouse. Unfortunately, our manufacturers will not offer us a refund unless the product is faulty. As a small (family-run) business we try to make all the details about our products as clear as possible to avoid customers being disappointed with their purchase from us. 

Please also note that colours on screen are representative of the colour of fabric reproduced and so therefore, may vary slightly. However, both our UK based manufacturers and ourselves work incredibly hard to ensure that screen colour and print colours are as close as possible.

REFUNDS

You will be refunded all payments made to us, excluding the costs of deliverywhich cannot be refund. Your reimbursement will be completed once we are in receipt of the returned goods. A sum may be deducted from the reimbursement if any of the products are found to have been damaged though handling by you. In which case you will be informed by us via email.Customers will be reimbursed in either/or ways below:(a) 10 working days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied, or(b) (if earlier) 10 working days after the day you are able to provide evidence that you have returned the goods, or(c) if there were no goods supplied, 10 working days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract.All items must be returned to us in their original condition. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the goods are returned to Mode Abode in the original packaging to prevent any damage to the items.We suggest you use a recorded method of carriage to return the goods as we cannot be held responsible for items lost or delayed in transit on the way back to us. Unfortunately we are unable to offer customers a free returns service.

Fabulous cushion, fabulous company!

I bought a beautiful cushion by Hattie Gordon from this site and couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I have a print of Brighton Birds chatting, which I adore, so when I realised I could get the same print in cushion form, I was thrilled! The colours are fantastic on the cushion and it’s beautifully made. Mode Abode’s website is super easy to navigate and I had great communication re delivery dates - I ordered during the Royal Mail strikes but I still received my cushion in good time.
Mode Abode and Hattie Gordon are both fabulous!
